Full Description

The datasheet is the table behind the October 2026 Haiti Macro Poverty Outlook brief. It lists selected indicators by fiscal year from 2016/17 to 2025/26, with the 2010 to 2025 average, under income and growth, money and prices, fiscal, external accounts, and population, employment and poverty, plus other items such as GDP in gourdes and dollars and the CPIA ratings. Data come from the World Bank's MFMod model unless noted.

For 2025/26 the sheet shows real GDP growth of -1.5 percent, real GDP per capita growth of -2.6 percent, period-average inflation of 21.5 percent, a nominal exchange rate of 130.8 gourdes per dollar, revenue of 5.1 percent of GDP, an overall fiscal balance of -1.0 percent of GDP, general government debt of 9.6 percent of GDP, and a current account surplus of 0.9 percent of GDP. The unemployment rate is 20.8 percent and the poverty rate at $3.00 a day (2021 PPP) is 50.8 percent. The sheet notes that poverty is now expressed in 2021 PPP, where earlier editions used 2017 PPP, and that this changes the poverty figures sharply.
