One of ten departmental registers produced by the Direction de la Planification et de la Coopération Externe (DPCE) from the 2024-2025 school census, the first data collection after nine years without one. Schools are listed by arrondissement (Jacmel, Bainet, Belle-Anse), then by commune (Jacmel, Marigot, Cayes-Jacmel, La Vallée, Bainet, Côte-de-Fer, Belle-Anse, Grand-Gosier, Thiotte, Anse-à-Pitre), town or communal section, and public or non-public sector. Each school carries a 12-digit code (CIE): the first six digits give its location, the seventh its sector and the rest its number. Levels are coded 1 for preschool, 2 for fundamental and 3 for secondary. The minister's preface reports that the national census counted about 18,240 schools, that more than 300 schools were destroyed or forced to stop operating since the start of the crisis, and that about 942 schools are closed, 515 of them completely.
