The Direction de la Planification et de la Coopération Externe (DPCE) of MENFP compiled this register from the 2024-2025 school census, the first data collection after nine years without one, with support from the IDB and UNESCO. It runs to 408 pages and covers the five arrondissements of the Ouest (Port-au-Prince, Léogâne, Croix-des-Bouquets, Arcahaie and La Gonâve) and their 20 communes, ordered by arrondissement, commune, communal section or town, then public or non-public sector. Each entry gives the school identification code (CIE), whose first six digits locate the school and whose seventh marks the sector, plus name, address, founder, contact details and levels taught (preschool, fundamental, secondary). The minister's foreword gives national totals of 18,241 schools and 4,028,897 pupils, and reports about 942 schools closed, 515 of them completely.
