Directory of Schools in the Artibonite Department with 2012-2013 Enrolment

The 84-page listing, produced by the Directorate General's Unité d'Études et de Programmations of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, gives one row per school in the Artibonite department. Each row shows the school name, its sector (public or non-public), an account number, the director's name, an address or locality, a telephone number and the number of pupils enrolled in 2012-2013. About 2,000 schools are listed, mostly in alphabetical order. Non-public schools make up about 1,700 of them and enroll about 145,000 pupils, while about 300 public schools, many named École Nationale, enroll about 97,000. The grand total printed on the last page is 242,023 pupils. Some entries lack a director, address or telephone number. The directory does not group schools by commune or give enrollment by grade or sex.
