CEP/DC/033-2526: Party groupings may be formed until 6 August 2026, with the approved list due on 8 August

The Council states its reason as encouraging the largest possible number of parties to form groupings and then regroupements, and says it is acting inside the time the electoral calendar allows.

Two deadlines move. The formation of party groupings runs from 4 to 6 August 2026, and the definitive list of approved groupings is to be published on 8 August 2026. The note is explicit that a third deadline does not move: registration of regroupements politiques stays at 10 to 14 August 2026.

That distinction matters for reading the calendar. These are deadlines inside step 4 of the published electoral calendar, whose own span is 13 July to 14 August 2026, and the step itself was not moved by this note.
