The registration of political groupings opened on 13 July 2026 and closed on Friday 31 July 2026 at 9 p.m. A justice of the peace of the commune of Pétion-ville certified the closure, which is the procedure the CEP uses to fix the state of a register at a deadline.

Seventeen groupings registered. Between them they gather 227 political parties out of the 316 on the approved list, so a majority of approved parties chose to run inside a grouping. The note sets the next steps: analysis of the files submitted, then publication of the list of approved groupings. Registration of regroupements politiques was scheduled from Monday 10 to Friday 14 August 2026 under the electoral calendar then in execution.

RÉPUBLIQUE D’HAÏTI Conseil Électoral Provisoire Réf.: CEP / DC / 032-2526 NOTE DE PRESSE 17 GROUPEMENTS POLITIQUES ENREGISTRÉS DANS LA PERSPECTIVE DES PROCHAINES ÉLECTIONS Le Conseil électoral provisoire (CEP) informe la population en général et la presse en particulier, que dix-sept (17) groupements politiques se sont fait enregistrer auprès du CEP dans la perspective des prochaines compétitions électorales. La fermeture du processus d’enregistrement des groupements politiques, entamé depuis le13 juillet 2026, a été verbalisée par un Juge de paix de la commune de Pétion-ville, le vendredi 31 juillet 2026, à 9 heures du soir. En effet, les dix-sept (17) groupements politiques enregistrés réunissent au total deux-cent-vingtsept (227) partis politiques sur la liste des trois-cent-seize (316) partis politiques agréés. La prochaine étape consiste à analyser les dossiers soumis en vue de la publication de la liste des groupements politiques agréés. L’enregistrement des regroupements politiques est prévu du lundi 10 août au vendredi 14 août 2026, conformément au calendrier électoral en cours d’exécution. Le Conseil électoral provisoire réaffirme son engagement à conduire le processus électoral de manière inclusive et impartiale, dans le strict respect des principes d'indépendance, de transparence, d’intégrité et de responsabilité démocratique.
