CEP/DC/051-2526: The CEP meets eleven political groupings, which state reservations on the decree and the calendar

The meetings were held on Wednesday 26 August 2026 at the CEP's central bureau in Pétion-ville, following requests from several political formations to discuss the process with council members. President Jacques Desrosiers took part with councillors Yves Marie Édouard and Rose Thérèse Magalie Georges.
The first meeting was with the representatives of the nine groupings gathered as the Forums des neuf groupements politiques: Delivrans, Anfòs pou sove lonè, Debout Citoyen, Debout Patriotes, Grand, Coppos-Haïti et alliés, Myèl, Platfòm Rekonsilye and Sol Ayiti. Later the same day the Council met the representatives of the groupings Viktwa and Solèy in turn.
The note records that the political leaders stated reservations about the application of certain provisions of the electoral decree and about the execution of the calendar, and that they were invited to submit a memorandum setting out their grievances, proposals and expectations for the CEP to take into account in its future decisions. The Council says it intends to continue these exchanges with representatives of other political structures.
