CEP/DC/031-2526: Voter registration formally launched in the Ouest department
- Registration formally launched in the Ouest on 30 July 2026 at the Lycée national de Pétion-Ville.

The launch ceremony took place on Thursday 30 July 2026 at the Lycée national de Pétion-Ville, the day after the CEP announced the opening in note CEP/DC/029-2526.
Council president Jacques Desrosiers described the operations as an important stage in preparing the coming elections. He named the three communes covered by the starting phase and said the opening of further registration and voting centres would proceed progressively through the department's communes and communal sections.
The note records about ten centres operational in the Ouest at that date: five in Pétion-ville, three in Delmas and two in Tabarre. It asks citizens holding a Carte d'identification nationale to register, under the electoral decree in force.
