Official launch of the voter registration process

Summary — The CEP announces that voter registration on the electoral register begins on Monday 20 July 2026 in the capitals of nine of the country's ten geographic departments, excluding the Ouest, a decision it attributes to the particular constraints prevailing there. It undertakes to keep assessing the situation with a view to extending registration progressively into that department and into all communes of the others, under acceptable conditions of security, accessibility and effectiveness.
