Successful start of voter registration operations

Summary — The CEP reports that voter registration began successfully on Monday 20 July 2026, covering as announced nine geographic departments with the exception of the Ouest. Councillors were present in the field for the official opening of Registration and Voting Centres (CIV) in the capitals of the departments concerned, where citizens registered with a valid national identity card.
