- Sets filing arrangements for candidates to the departmental (BRD) and communal (BRC) referendum bureaux.
- Nord-Ouest applicants file at the premises of the departmental Delegation.
- Applicants in Léogâne, Grand Goâve and Petit-Goâve file at the departmental electoral bureau in Miragoâne rather than in their own department.
- Records that in January 2025 the CEP was staffing referendum bureaux, a structure distinct from the electoral bureaux.
- The referendum bureau structure was later overtaken by the electoral calendar.
A short CEP press note setting the filing arrangements for candidates to the departmental and communal referendum bureaux. Applicants in the Nord-Ouest are told that candidacies will be received at the premises of the departmental Delegation, and applicants in the communes of Léogâne, Grand Goâve and Petit-Goâve are directed to file at the departmental electoral bureau in Miragoâne rather than in their own department. The Council closes with its standing undertaking to conduct the referendum and electoral processes independently, impartially and inclusively. Administratively slight, the note is worth keeping for what it records in passing: in January 2025 the CEP was staffing referendum bureaux, a structure distinct from the electoral bureaux and one that the electoral calendar later overtook. It is dated Pétion-ville, 11 January 2025.
