Two successful days in the recruitment of BRD and BRC members

Summary — Candidate filing for the departmental and communal referendum bureaux opened on 13 January 2025, supervised in the departments by Councillors who were simultaneously assessing electoral infrastructure across the eleven electoral jurisdictions. Day one drew 333 applications nationwide, 59 for the BRD and 274 for the BRC, of which 15 women and 44 men for the BRD; the CEP states that female candidacies are strongly encouraged. Around 450 applications were registered on 14 January.
