This note revises the published electoral calendar 2026-2027 at its step 6. Candidate registration was set for 20 August to 2 October 2026 in the calendar the CEP published on 27 July 2026 by note CEP/DC/028-2526. It now ends on 14 October 2026. The Council gives its reason as requests made by parties and political groupings through meetings and correspondence.

NOTE DE PRESSE Conseil Électoral Provisoire PROLONGATION DE LA PÉRIODE D’INSCRIPTION DES CANDIDATS Sur demande formulée par des partis et groupements politiques à travers des rencontres et correspondances adressées au Conseil électoral provisoire (CEP), l’institution informe la population en général et la presse en particulier, de la prolongation de la période d’inscription des candidats. Initialement prévue du 20 août au 02 octobre 2026, l’ opération d’inscription des candidats a été prolongée jusqu’au 14 octobre 2026. Cette prolongation affecte chacune des activités qui caractérise l’ensemble de cette opération . Le calendrier détaillé se présente désormais comme suit : 1. Inscription en ligne des candidats : 20 août au 20 septembre 2026 2. Dépôt des pièces requises : 13 au 22 septembre 2026 3. Analyse des dossiers : 13 au 28 septembre 202 6 4. Publication de la liste préliminaire des candidats inscrits : 29 septembre 2026 5. Contestation de candidature au BCEC: 30 septembre au 07 octobre 6. Contestation de candidature au BCED: 30 septembre au 09 octobre 2026 7. Gestion des recours au BCEN: 07 au 13 octobre 2026 8. Publication de la liste définitive des candidats agréés : 14 octobre 2026 Cette décision s’inscrit dans la volonté du CEP de faciliter aux responsables des partis et groupements politiques l’accomplisse ment des formalités relatives à l’enregistrement de l’ensemble de leurs candidates et candidats à travers la plateforme dédiée. Le Conseil électoral provisoire invite, par ailleurs, les responsables des partis et groupements politiques concernés à mettre pleinement à profit ce délai supplémentaire , en veillant à accomplir l’ensemble des formalités requises dans le délai imparti.
