The CEP's own publication of the electoral calendar for 2026-2027, issued as press note CEP/DC/028-2526 from Pétion-ville on 27 July 2026 and signed, with the calendar table itself as the second page. The table runs to 28 steps, each with a start date, a duration in days and an end date. Communication, outreach and civic education began on 1 February 2026 and runs to 17 March 2027; departmental vote tabulation bureaus were being established from 14 April 2026; accreditation of observers and journalists ran from 3 July to 18 August 2026; registration of party groupings and coalitions from 13 July to 14 August 2026. Voter registration is dated 20 July to 13 October 2026, and candidate registration 20 August to 2 October 2026. Voting centre supervisors are recruited from 31 August to 26 September 2026 and polling station members from 1 September to 21 November 2026. The first-round campaign for the legislative and presidential elections runs 5 October to 12 December 2026, the electoral rolls are published on 13 November 2026 at D-30, and election day for the first round, held jointly with the popular ratification of the constitution, is 13 December 2026. Tabulation runs 13 to 15 December; the ratification results are published on 16 December, preliminary presidential and legislative results on 19 December, challenges are heard from 22 December to 9 January 2027, and definitive first-round results are published on 9 January 2027. The second-round campaign, covering the legislative, presidential and territorial-collectivity elections, runs 10 January to 20 February 2027, with election day on 21 February 2027. Tabulation runs to 23 February; preliminary second-round results are published on 22 February and territorial results on 23 February; challenges run to 6 March for the legislative and presidential races and to 11 March for the territorial ones. Definitive second-round legislative and presidential results are published on 7 March 2027, and definitive territorial-election results on 12 March 2027. The note states two conditions on the whole schedule: an acceptable security climate and the financial resources needed to continue electoral operations. It adds that organising the elections is a responsibility shared by all stakeholders, involving the commitment of the government and of national and international actors and partners, and it restates the CEP's commitment to an inclusive and impartial process. Ce calendrier prévoit la tenue du premier tour de l'élection présidentielle, des législatives et la ratification populaire des changements proposés à la Constitution pour le 13 décembre 2026. Le second tour des législatives et de la présidentielle ainsi que les élections pour les collectivités territoriales sont prévues pour le 21 février 2027. Le Conseil électoral souligne, par ailleurs, que le respect de ces échéances dépend de l'établissement d'un climat sécuritaire acceptable et des disponibilités financières nécessaires à la poursuite des opérations électorales. Le CEP rappelle également que l'organisation de ces élections constitue une responsabilité partagée par toutes les parties prenantes. Elle implique l'engagement du gouvernement, des différents acteurs et partenaires, tant nationaux qu'internationaux.
