The one-page press note, issued in Pétion-ville on July 27, 2026, is followed by a 28-step calendar table giving each activity a start date, a duration in days and an end date. The first round of the presidential and legislative elections, held with the popular ratification of the proposed constitutional changes, is set for December 13, 2026; the second round, with the territorial collectivity elections, for February 21, 2027. Voter registration runs July 20 to October 13, 2026 (86 days), candidate registration August 20 to October 2, and the first-round campaign October 5 to December 12. Electoral lists are published November 13, 2026. Preliminary first-round results are due December 19, definitive ones January 9, 2027. Definitive second-round presidential and legislative results are due March 7, 2027 and local results March 12. The CEP states that meeting these dates depends on an acceptable security climate and the funds needed to continue electoral operations.
