Description
(Haiti): USAID supports the Read Haiti:.Scaling Early Grade Reading Improvement in Haiti activity to improve reading.and writing outcomes in both Creole and French in the Grand'Anse and South.departments in approximately 160 schools. With FY 2019 funds, existing teacher.training and coaching efforts will be continued, including training in the use.of classroom libraries in order to enhance students' reading comprehension,.remediation/differentiation of instruction, and use of a bilingual, scripted,.phonics-based early grade literacy curriculum. Expected results:..Improve writing and reading skills from phonetic awareness.to fluency and reading comprehension in Creole and French; increase access to.quality educator training and coaching by providing new resources throughout.the school year; achieve solid evaluation results by implementing a strong.monitoring and evaluation plan; support capacity development among stakeholders.in Haiti through training
suite
and/or knowledge sharing conferences/workshops; and model.strong partnership in education through the utilization of a school network.spanning five departments in Haiti..... .
