IRC Hum 2026-2029

Millions de dollars US sauf indication contraire. Exercice fiscal haïtien, d’octobre à septembre. L’exercice FY2026-27 a commencé le 1er octobre 2026.

Description

This contribution supports the International Rescue Committee (IRC) under a multi-year humanitarian partnership for 2026-2029, using a Programme-Based Approach (PBA) to deliver flexible, needs-based assistance in contexts affected by conflict, displacement and climate-related crises. The objective of the contribution is to enable IRC to provide timely, life-saving and protective humanitarian assistance to populations in acute and protracted crises, while strengthening resilience and recovery capacities. The support covers multiple country programmes across regions with high humanitarian needs, including but not limited to Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe, as well as a Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) to respond to sudden-onset emergencies. Interventions include integrated programming across key sectors such as health (including mental health), protection (including gender-based violence and

child protection), education in emergencies, and economic recovery through cash and livelihoods support. The contribution targets vulnerable groups including women, children, displaced populations and other at-risk communities. The PBA modality allows IRC the flexibility to program resources within country programs in response to evolving needs, improving the efficiency and timeliness of the response. Funds are largely unearmarked at the country level allowing adaptive programming and reallocation in response to changing humanitarian conditions. IRC works in partnership with local and national actors through structured systems such as PEERS, ensuring capacity sharing, accountability and localisation of aid delivery . The organisation operates in over 40 countries and reached more than 36 million people in 2024 through humanitarian assistance . The contribution is coded under humanitarian aid sectors reflecting multi-sectoral emergency response, with a strong focus on protection, gender equality and localisation. Expected results include improved access to essential services, reduced protection risks, and strengthened coping capacities among affected populations.
