Power network (OpenStreetMap)
Haiti's electricity network as mapped by OpenStreetMap - transmission and minor lines, substations, power plants, generators, towers and poles - in one file with a ptype field per feature.
Method
Fetched from the Overpass API over the country bounding box for power=line, minor_line, substation, plant, generator, tower and pole, with ways returned as geometry so they arrive with coordinates. Substations and plants mapped as closed ways become polygons; everything else is a line or a point. Voltage is kept verbatim as tagged, including semicolon-separated multi-circuit values, because parsing it to one number would drop circuits. COVERAGE IS VOLUNTEER-CONTRIBUTED AND UNEVEN: denser along the transmission corridors and around Port-au-Prince than elsewhere, so the absence of a feature is not evidence of absence on the ground and the line lengths are not a network total. Overpass refuses a browser User-Agent with HTTP 406 and throttles readily, so the producer retries with backoff. Distributed as GeoJSON only: the file mixes points, lines and polygons, which a single shapefile cannot represent.
