Poverty — Haiti
Poverty in Haiti along two complementary lenses: monetary poverty (the share of people living below the World Bank's international poverty lines, nationally and by department) and multidimensional poverty (deprivation across health, education, and living standards, from OPHI). Monetary and multidimensional poverty measure different things and are shown separately.
How to read this: monetary poverty counts people below an income threshold; the multidimensional index counts overlapping deprivations in health, schooling, and living conditions. A household can be poor on one measure and not the other. The MPI figures are from the 2016-17 DHS survey and predate the current crisis; treat them as a structural baseline, not today's level.
