ADMINISTRATION IN HAITI?
Exercise - Using the list of actors below, write the number of who is responsible for each one of the
land administration tasks described. Each actor can perform more than one of the tasks, but also none
of the tasks described below.
LAND ADMINISTRATION TASKS – ANSWER KEY
1. Responsible for collecting, processing and updating geospatial information and for managing the
network of Continuously Operating Reference stations (HaitiPOS). CNIGS – Centre

2. Responsible for overall land policy including issues of land tenure, real property rights, land
administration, land use and land legislation. CIAT – Comite Interministeriel

3. Responsible for creating and keeping the records of individual property titles, for collecting
taxes, registering mortgages for the State or the communes, and administering land
