L'étude révèle des changements démographiques significatifs, le département de l'Ouest (Ouest) subissant une perte nette de 30 800 résidents sur la période de 12 mois.

Les données montrent que les personnes quittant le département de l'Ouest se sont relocalisées à travers le pays, la région du Grand Sud recevant les plus gros afflux : le département du Sud a gagné 7 500 personnes (dont 3 000 aux Cayes), le Sud-Est a reçu 6 900 (dont 2 000 à Jacmel), les Nippes ont gagné 4 100, et la Grand'Anse a reçu 3 100 résidents supplémentaires. Le département du Nord a également vu une augmentation de 4 100 personnes, dont 2 000 dans le centre du Cap Haïtien.

À l'intérieur du département de l'Ouest, le rapport souligne que 30 000 personnes ont quitté la 1ère Section Turgeau de la commune de Port-au-Prince au cours des 12 derniers mois. Les plus grands changements de population ont eu lieu à partir de janvier 2024, les sections communales urbaines connaissant des fluctuations importantes qui peuvent dépasser 1 000 résidents d'un mois à l'autre. Le rapport souligne l'importance de ces estimations mensuelles de population pour la planification de la préparation et de la réponse aux crises, car elles fournissent des informations actualisées sur l'exposition de la population aux dangers et les tendances prévisibles des changements démographiques.
