Haiti received US$4.1 billion in personal remittances in 2024, 16.9 percent of GDP, according to the World Bank.

Updated 10 September 2026.

Definition and limits

The headline is personal remittances received in current US dollars, from the World Bank's World Development Indicators, on a calendar year. The chart draws the share of GDP on the same basis. The World Bank total covers all channels, including an estimate for transfers outside banks and licensed agents. The BRH's by-country figures count formal transfer agents only, on a fiscal year running October to September, so they run below the World Bank total.
