- Extends MINUSTAH to 15 October 2012, reducing the military component to up to 7,340 and the police component to up to 3,241 from the post-earthquake ceilings.
- Reaffirms MINUSTAH's human rights mandate and states that respect for human rights is essential to Haiti's stability.
- Welcomes the Government's efforts to build institutional capacity in security and the rule of law.
- Encourages the Haitian authorities to use that support to enhance Haitian National Police capacity.
- Asks the UN country team and all actors to complement the security and development operations the Government undertakes.
