- Extends MINUSTAH to 15 October 2010 with a military component of up to 6,940 and a police component of up to 2,211.
- Endorses the Secretary-General's recommendation in paragraphs 26 and 27 of S/2009/439 to maintain the current mission configuration.
- Stresses the need for coordination among all international actors on the ground.
- Asks MINUSTAH to remain engaged in support of the National Prison Administration's strategic plan.
- Reaffirms the call on MINUSTAH to support the political process, including through the good offices of the Special Representative.
