- Extends MINUSTAH to 15 October 2008 with a military component of up to 7,060.
- Endorses the Secretary-General's recommendation to reconfigure the mission along the concepts in paragraphs 28 and 29 of his report.
- Condemns any attack on MINUSTAH personnel and demands that no intimidation or violence be directed at United Nations personnel.
- Encourages MINUSTAH and the UN Country Team to improve coordination with development actors in Haiti.
- Asks MINUSTAH to continue supporting the Haitian National Police as needed to ensure security.
