The general Consumer Price Index (base 100 = 2017-2018) rose from 515.0 in May 2025 to 525.0 in June, a monthly increase of 1.9% and an annual increase of 28.4%, compared to 2.0% monthly and 27.2% annual the previous month. The monthly increase was driven mainly by Food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.1% monthly, 31.5% annual), Clothing and footwear (2.0% monthly, 22.7% annual), Housing, water, gas, electricity and other fuels (2.4% monthly, 43.9% annual), Restaurants (1.6% monthly, 26.5% annual) and Miscellaneous goods and services (1.8% monthly, 21.7% annual). Notable annual movements included rice (33.7% on average), meat (37.6%), cooking oil (36.6%), housing rent (34.3%) and electricity (575.0%). Locally produced and imported goods rose 30.8% and 24.9% year-on-year respectively. Regionally, the Rest of the West, the South and the Metropolitan Area posted the largest annual increases at 30.9%, 30.0% and 28.9%, while the North and Transversal Zone stayed below 27.0%.
