The Business Pulse Survey (BPS) conducted in Haiti in February-March 2025 assessed the impact of violence on firms, channels of transmission, firm responses, and government and international community support. The survey included 719 businesses, mainly micro, formal, domestic-owned, and service firms. Key findings include heightened crime and violence, severe impacts on businesses (asset damage, declines in investment, sales, and jobs), input and infrastructure disruptions, firms adapting by investing in security and adopting digital solutions, and access to financing emerging as a critical concern. The survey considered primary and recency effects, sensitivity, clear transition statements, and full attention checks.
