Key Findings
Full Description
The Haiti Infrastructure Program (HIP) was a five-year program implemented by AECOM from March 2018 to September 2022, providing program management, architectural, engineering, specialist technical support, and quality management services to USAID for the construction of structurally safe and resilient infrastructure across multiple sectors in Haiti. AECOM brought infrastructure expertise to help USAID build various medical facilities, sanitary water systems, roads, and agriculture projects. The program focused on maximizing local delivery, supplementing with specialist STTA resources at USAID’s request to respond to changing needs. Despite challenges such as political unrest, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2021 earthquake, AECOM maintained continuity of on-the-ground support to USAID, retaining the ability to increase scale and provide USAID with flexibility to address a wide variety of infrastructure initiatives.
