Speaking on Friday, 25 April 2025, Minister of Economy and Finance Alfred Fils Metellus reaffirmed, on behalf of the government, Haiti's engagement with the Alliance for Security, Justice and Development. Created in December 2024 with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Alliance is a regional platform composed of and led by 22 borrowing member countries, aiming to foster dialogue, cooperation, and collective action against the growth and influence of organized crime in Latin America and the Caribbean.
