The USAID/Haiti Agricultural University Partnership (HAUP): Center for Mitigation, Adaptation, and Resilience to Climate-Change in Haiti (CEMARCH) initiative aims to train agricultural professionals and new individuals in agricultural practices to adapt to Haitian crop and animal production systems in a changing climate. The project focuses on curriculum development, research and extension growth, and partnerships with agricultural organizations to combat climate change and improve the lives of Haitians. Key activities include virtual classroom development, scholarships for agricultural degrees, infrastructure improvements at universities, and partnerships with NGOs and commercial entities to provide training and extension programs for farmers.
